Services

The Enhanced Support Team follows best practice to provide qualified and credentialed support in the following ways:

Positive Behaviour Support

We have NDIS Commission approved positive behaviour support practitioners that currently serve the state and can work in both NDIS funded and non-NDIS Funded areas.

Specialist Support Coordination

A higher level of support coordination for people whose situations are more complex and who need specialist support. A specialist Support Coordinator will assist you to manage challenges in your support environment and ensuring consistent delivery of service.

Support Coordination

Support coordination helps you to make the best use of your supports in plan. Support coordination is a capacity building support which helps you to understand and use your NDIS plan to pursue your goals.

Social Work

Social workers provide case management in areas such as injury rehabilitation and complex participants.

Therapeutic Supports

WE Provide therapeutic counselling for NDIS and non-NDIS participants.

Sarah

Support Coordinator, Specialist Support Coordinator, Social Worker, PBS Practitioner
My journey into the disability sector began with the completion of my Social Work Degree from the University of Tasmania in 2015. I later began my career as a support worker and gained incredible experience and knowledge from working with others living with a disability. In December 2020, I was offered the exciting opportunity to work with My Care Options and later transitioned to the Enhanced Support Team (Family Based Care) in 2021. I am delighted to be able to connect with each participant, hear their stories and goals, and provide support along their NDIS journey. I bring an understanding, optimistic and friendly approach to my responsibilities within my roles, and use personal strengths such as dedication, thinking outside the box, great listening skills, organisation and I enjoy a good sense of humour. In my personal time I enjoy traveling, reading and spending time with my family, friends and cats.

Melinda

Support Coordinator
I started working in the education Department with students with disabilities in 2010. After 5 years I decided to further my own education & knowledge to better support participants. Starting in the field as a DCW to now assisting participants with their NDIS. During this time I have completed my certificates in Disability & Diploma in Community services. This has given me the skills & ability to assist in making change for my participants. I am a hard working goal oriented person who is passionate about the disability sector. A good problem solver who is empathetic & understanding. In my personal life I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, photography, artsy projects & anything musical.

I am currently looking into getting my mental health social worker accreditation. I have experience in working alongside child safety, strong families’ safe kids and have a legal background. I am originally from Launceston and travel there regularly to visit my friends and family. I am from a farming background and understand the importance of hard work and resilience. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing video games, cross stitching and watching true crime documentaries.
